CADOXTON PRIMARY SCHOOL

Cadoxton Primary School is situated in Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan. There are 370 pupils enrolled, aged from four to eleven years old. The majority come from homes which are in a Communities First area.

The school was most recently inspected by Estyn in June 2011 and was judged to be Good in both key areas. In the categorization system published by the Welsh Government in January 2015, the school was awarded the category of Yellow, a Good School. The Central South Consortium notes that the school's prospects for improvement are "excellent".

The school's strengths are in the areas of literacy, family engagement, inclusion and digital learning as well as in providing strong support to other schools.

CEIP MAESTRO FRANCISCO MARTINEZ BERNAL

CEIP Maestro Francisco Martinez Bernal is a public Kindergarten and Elementary School based in Molina De Segura (Murcia). They have 6 groups of Kindergarten (ages from 3 to 5) and 16 groups of Elementary (ages from 6 to 11), with 544 students in total. There is a supporting teachers team with speech therapy teacher, a therapeutic pedagogy teacher and a councillor. They also offer some activities in the afternoon: drama, extra English tuition, sports training, dance, gymnastics and Computers skills lessons so the students can complete their academic training.

Furthermore, the school collaborates in providing extra tuition for students in difficulty to enable them to keep up in the different areas of the curriculum. This support is offered in collaboration with local associations such as CEPAIN and ADESMO and they are taking part in several projects related to students with Specific Educational Needs, which have been promoted by the educational department of the city council.

Finally, their school is working actively to enable the children to use a range of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools in a relevant curriculum context and develop and use ICT skills in the attainment of curriculum learning objectives. Their school counts on an ICT lab with 25 computers, and IWB and a projector. This room is scheduled so that all the school's groups can benefit from its use. Apart from the ICT lab, each of their 22 classrooms ha a laptop and an IWB and the entire school shares a WIFI line for Internet and intranet connection. Teachers in CEIP Maestro Francisco Martinez Bernal also count on a personal laptop to prepare and design all the activities and digital resources that will be further developed in class with the students. Moreover, laser printers and colour photocopiers are available.
